Welcome to the club, my good man! When all is said and done, if you set aside the coolness factor, when it comes to large vehicles, you really can't get any more bang for your buck than with a minivan.
More interior room than the same size SUV, better mileage, cheaper insurance, generally safer, generally more flexible with seating arrangements...all in all a better deal.
My youth group kids have named mine "The Dadmobile." I've found that owning one helps give me street cred with their parents. =)

You and coffee family were in my dreams two nights ago. Coffee son was teaching my son how to walk. :) The rest of us were eating pizza.
