Oddly, even if they were wearing lapel pins, these days their patriotism would still come into question. All of the people on your list ruffled a few feathers back in the day. They questioned authority and stuck with their beliefs rather than conforming to social norms.
A pastor in the United Church of Christ. Hipster doofus. Husband. New father. Wolverine stuck in the Buckeye State. Guitar player. But really a drummer. Avid reader. Aspiring writer. Internet addict. Thrice tattooed. Possibly emerging. Always evolving. Post-liberal. Seeking the kingdom of God. "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I tell you?" - Luke 6:46
Welcome to my corner of the blogosphere. Pour yourself a cup and stay a while. Spam and disruptive crap will be deleted. These views are mine and don't represent anyone else. Also, this is a hobby and is in no way to be considered in conjunction with my work as a pastor. No shirt, no shoes, no problem. Store hours: whenever I post and whenever you read.
